I recently watched the 2nd episode of the 3rd season of The Universe (TV series). And found it to be quite interesting, so I thought of sharing some of the mind boggling concepts presented in that episode. These ideas are not really new, some of them have been around for decades.. Anyways here it goes :
Many physicists are now speculating that there could be not just one, but hundreds and thousands of parallel universes out there. And these can be classified in to 4 levels
Level 1 : Exists in the same exact space as ours but they are so far away, we cannot see or ever reach them.
Level 2 : Multiple universes can be inside giant cosmic bubbles floating around in hyperspace. Our universe is just one bubble, and there can be countless such bubbles out there, again we can't see them.
Level 3 : Universes that exists in our same time and space but in a different dimension. That means right where you are now standing, there could be a dinosaur running around in a different dimension; dinosaurs weren’t wiped out in that reality because a large asteroid never hit the earth.
Level 4 : An unimaginable reality where mathematics and physics describing our universe don’t even apply.
All in all, what they are saying is that there could be an alternate reality following every decision we ever made. For example there could be another you that got off the bed from the right side instead the left side this morning, and then decided to wear a red shirt instead of a blue one.. the realities are endless... Every time we make a decision our reality splits in two and the other person does what we chose not to do.
Isn’t it really amazing? What do you guys think? If this is true then think how insignificant our life is compared to all these realities and universes... our life in this reality is just an insignificant fork out of millions...
