Disgraced Australian umpire Darrel Hair, who infamously no-balled Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan on seven separate occasions over a span of three years, fuelled fire on the long buried animosity, insisting that the Sri Lankan legend still chucks.
"He throws. I don’t have any doubt about it", Hair said, while adding that he no longer follows the Sri Lankans career. "I have other things to look out for," exclaimed Hair.
Hair, who was removed from the ICC panel of umpires for his handling of ‘The Oval Test’ between England and Pakistan, also called for resignation of International Cricket Council president David Morgan - and other senior figures - over their handling of the controversy.
The ICC decided last weekend to revise an earlier ruling that England’s victory over Pakistan should be taken out of the record books and replaced as a draw.
"All the board members who were involved in the earlier decision should resign now," he said.
"This should also include the present ICC president David Morgan. The first to go should be David Richardson and Doug Cowie.”
