Eric Lynn Wright (September 7, 1963–March 26, 1995), better known by the stage name Eazy-E, was an American rapper, producer, and record executive from Anoush Street in Compton.

He was a Kelly Park Compton Crip (although he was connected to many other Crip gangs) from the early teenage years until his death. He is widely regarded as one of the founders of the gangsta rap sub-genre and initially rose to fame as a member of the group N.W.A, but later achieved critical and commercial success as a solo artist. Eazy-E's vocal style was marked by his youthful, high-pitched voice and his lyrics focusing on the elements of urban street life such as guns, drugs, relations between residents and the police, and deviant sexual activity.

Eazy-E, nome artístico de Eric Lynn Wright, (Compton, Califórnia, 7 de setembro de 1963 – Compton, 26 de março de 1995) foi um rapper, produtor e executivo fonográfico estado-unidense.

Por morar em um bairro pesado de Los Angeles, Eazy atuava como traficante, o que lhe possibilitou juntar dinheiro para criar a Ruthless Records. Montou o grupo N.W.A juntamente com Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren e DJ Yella. O sucesso foi muito grande e, apesar da mídia não apoiá-los, seus fãs eram muitos e suas músicas se tornaram parte da trilha sonora do gueto. Durante o N.W.A, Eazy lançou seu primeiro álbum em 1988, o "Eazy Duz It".

Em 1991 o grupo acabou e Eazy-E seguiu sozinho. Em 1991 lançou o seu 2º albúm 5450 Home 4 tha sick, vendeu bem, mostrando já que Eazy já conseguia fazer as suas próprias músicas. Mais tarde Dr.Dre deixou a Ruthless Recorsds e fundou a sua própria editora "Death Row Records". Ele virou inimigo de Dr. Dre e lançou o álbum "It's On (Dr Dre) 187 One Killa"(que se tornou platina), que continha acusações contra Dre e Snoop Dogg. Uma dessas era na música "Real compton city gs" que continha várias acusações a Dr.dre e o resto da death row. Em 1995 o cantor foi internado infectado com o vírus da AIDS e no dia 26 de março morreu por complicações decorrentes da doença deixando cinco filhos. Existem rumores que Suge knight (fundador da death row) tenha posto uma agulha que continha sangue de uma pessoa infectada com aids e meteu em Eazy.

Depois de sua morte foram lançados outros cds como "Str8 Of Tha Streetz Of Muthaphuckin Compton" e "Eternal E". Seu filho hoje é rapper e usa o nome artístico "Lil Eazy-E", continua morando em Compton como seu pai, já fez músicas com The Game e participou da trilha sonora do jogo True Crime com a música Get It Crackin. Eazy-E era leal, apesar de todo sucesso não saiu de Compton e até hoje é muito reconhecido por sua contribuição ao rap. As suas músicas mais conhecidas são: " Real Muthafuckin' G's ", Boys In Tha Hood ", "Eazy Duz It" e "Eazier said than Dunn" esta que entrou no famoso jogo GTA: San Andreas. Ryder uma personagem do famoso GTA san andreas foi retirado da aparência de Eazy-E. São ambos bastante semelhantes, Produtores do jogo disseram que esta personagem foi retirada de [Eazy-E]. Eazy-E também era conhecido por ser bastante amigável e brincalhão, pois ajudou vários artistas entre eles Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Eazy-E fez parte de um gang chamado Crips
