Kapuge , is not like Nanda Malini . He is more respectable artist. He did not sang to change govt and got popularity and money ,like Nanda Malini. He did not sang to cheap hindi meladies and Kapirinna songs. He was a technician at SLBC and later became a singer he had come up the right way and he did not incite people to get cheap popularity.

Sure..instead he did an album with Sunflower who was a onon-stop baila band... Nanda Malini is one of our greatest. So is Kapuge.. Both have done mistakes but there class & achievements trump everything else..lets leave it at that
Mr. Kapuge along with many other poor artists such as Mr Henry Caldera got music from a western band. One main reason was they were poor. Even maestro Amaradeva did this but some wealthy person stopped it . I cant see anything wrong in changing sound track.
To my mind this was first done decades ago by P.L.A.Somapala and Chitrra Somapala with new music from Stanly Pieris (70s).
At that time these New Music mixing and cassettes , did not get popularity like sunflower cassettes. Sunflowers did these cassettes when their group became irrelevant in the field, too.
