Muttusamy Ilango admits he is an LTTEer, confesses to multiple crimes

ImageMuttusamy Ilango alias Sami, a Sri Lanka domiciled in Singapore, arrested recently on suspicion of being one of the top undercover LTTE international operatives, has confessed that he was responsible for several illegal operations such as abducting businessmen and extorting funds for the terrorist outfit besides running arms shipments and drug smuggling.
According to sources, Muttusami, during interrogation has confessed that he owns a number of ships including one that was destroyed by the Sri Lanka forces. He had returned to Sri Lanka with the intention of filing a lawsuit against the government to claim compensation for the destruction of one of his ships.
Explaining his presence in Colombo, Ilango said he met the leader of the LTTE suicide bombing training group in Singapore and was convinced that he should help the LTTE.
He had also told police that he had joined the Singapore Air Force and served as a pilot for some time.
He had traveled to Jaffna, Vavunia, Batticoloa before the time of arrest in Colombo.
Sources said that Ilango was also involved in assisting the LTTE international fund raising campaign, gun running and several other international rackets including defrauding foreign job seekers and drug peddling.
