Need a good Antivirus

Hey Guys i'm using a P4 3.06 Ghz DDR2 2GB Ram CPU. I was using AVG 7.5. But no more updates to that anymore. When I install AVG 8.5 the computer get very slow & gets stuck.

What is the antivirus would you reccomend me???
