Well, both of them score pretty much the same in 3dmark06.
And the specs are very similar too...

correct. most of new games work fine with mid range graphic cards. and deliver satisfying performance. crysis is the only game crying for super computers. to get the best crysis performance in highest settings and very high res, one will need to build a quad-sli 9800GX2. But playing crysis in low/medium settings isn't crysis. there are somany games similer to that. to make crysis looks speacial,its settings need to be maxed out!
