need help about custom rules on importing vehicles...

i have herd so many stories about some restriction on importing vehicles to sl. and i need help from someone who knows about those custom ruels to make sure what is legal and what is not!

is it true that cars with engine capacity larger than 3000CC is prohibited to import?

and is there a restriction depends on the "year of manufactured" of the car?

as i got to know the vehicle YOM should be around 5 or 7 years . one of ma dads friend bought a FB 15 in 2006(as i remember) and he faced lot of problems coz the YOM was 1999 . as i know its still in the Yard.

thought about getting some sort of "fast car"! but now as it seems like, almost all cars that would fit my budget is restricted to import. i'm not capable of buying recently built cars!

yeh lets see machan, i ll do. thx. most of those popular and highly demanded cars like rx7, supra, 3000gt cannot be imported to sl according to those restriction... that means those are too old for us.. we shuld buy something like 2009GTR... are we that much rich as sri lankans????? its really sad thing.

10 million hmm.. i found a mitsubishi 3000GT in japa for around 4 lahks in sl currency. but it seems to be that we cant import them anymore ryt?
