[need help] PC help

hi all,I have a intel915GAV motherboard and it's DDR-1 and 512MB of ram.

I have a processor single core LGA 2.66 GHz.


My computer is too slow machan, I have two options.

1. Buy a Intel Atom board.
2. Update my ram to 1024MB by adding another 512MB ram.

what you think is better?
Is buying an ATOM is good? what add me a good performance compared with
the budget and the price.All details please.

yet I don't have any idea machan.
Windows xp doesn't have a future now.I should move up now.

any prices about atom boards machan?
ya VGA onboard.

for computer programming,and linux DirectX SDK should be run too.

Heavy use of .Net and Internet is also there.24 hours online.so should think about the
current bill.

best to get a new board......

that processor is busted now....i doubt you will find a DDR-1 ram anyway....

PS...i had the same problem.....and the same board and only 256RAM....

now got a MSI dual core 2.66GHtrz with 4GB DDR-2 ram...and a 512VGA (nvidia 8600GTR).....and if i wanted to i can update as well.....for now....

and stick with XP....Vista still has ALOT of problems....many softwares do not work properly with Vista....and in a country like sri lanka where pirated software is king....having Vista could cause many problems....

leaving softwares alone...many computer hardware drivers don't work either....until they polish Vista best to keep with XP....

Machan Never buy a atom possessor.... ubata eta vada hodai tiyena PC ekama use karanava...... Atom prossessor eka use karanne normal MS office use karana PC valata vitarai anet evata patta slow venava......... u better buy a new Ram..........
