We sought assistance from fellow computer engineering students to complete the assignments and learning those concepts. We barely managed to complete that. because you need a broad understanding about the electronics basic logic gates, adders, and so on. Then these basics were used to develop much more complex devices like computing devices. However, If you need to understand how software works at the hardware level, you can learn that easily with compiler designing. which we also use compilers to build new languages with memory allocations, compiling to assembly codes, which gives you a broad understanding about computer. I recommend you read Das, Vinu V., Compiler Design Using FLEX and YACC, which is available on Amazon Books for really low price.
