    It is about developing our own mini CPUs, low end coding (C, Assembly), and those stuff.

    OUSL charges about 5 laks, I know it is cheap, but I haven't that much. Also I have got only about 1 hour free for a day.

    Computer Science is far broader than just writing software. It covers core hardware level concepts like CPU architecture, memory management, and I/O alongside foundational data structures and algorithms. If your goal is to build hardware level projects with microcontrollers like Arduino or Raspberry Pi, Computer Engineering focuses more directly on circuit design, electrical engineering, and low-level firmware, whereas Computer Science focuses on the theory, algorithms, and systems software. Either way, you can't skip the core computing fundamentals

    My target is to get a deep understanding of how a computer works, how to make a one, make some devices (a little calculator), to write lighweight softwares using C/ASSEMBLY, contribute to linux kernel, ...

    Bro, I did the computer hardware fundamentals module, which was shared with us computer software engineering students and computer engineering students in our second year. It was the hardest module we did in our entire course. It was even harder than the final year modules. We sought assistance from fellow computer engineering students to complete the assignments and learning those concepts. We barely managed to complete that. because you need a broad understanding about the electronics basic logic gates, adders, and so on. Then these basics were used to develop much more complex devices like computing devices. However, If you need to understand how software works at the hardware level, you can learn that easily with compiler designing. which we also use compilers to build new languages with memory allocations, compiling to assembly codes, which gives you a broad understanding about computer. I recommend you read Das, Vinu V., Compiler Design Using FLEX and YACC, which is available on Amazon Books for really low price.
