Netgear WGT624 about this router Plz help!

    you cant use that for ADSL.
    You can use it for Access Point only but its rather expensive to be used only as an AP.

    MACHAN WHAT DO U MEAN EXPENSIVE MACHAN I HAVE A NORMAL US ROBOTICS ROUTER ITS WIRED AND IF I BUY THAT NETGEAR WGR614 ACCESS POINT AND HOOK IT UP WITH THE MY NORMAL US ROBOTICS WILL IT WORK WIRELESSLY WIT MY LAPTOP???

    Netgear WGT624 is a router as well so you're buying a router but using it only as AP. That's why I said its too expensive for that. If you can afford both, then go ahead.
    Otherwise buy only an AP.

    If you want a Netgear AP, buy the Netgear WG602.
    Its an AP and you can fix it to your existing router and use it.

    machan i already bought that net gear router this model WGT624..................
    i mean i purchased it online thru ebay machan and why do u say to purchase the WG602.??
    isnt that netgear good or cnt i connect it to the old router and use the internet wirelessly???

    You can use the WGT624 as an AP without any problems.

    The WGT624 is a router while WG602 is an AP only.
    using the WGT624 as an AP is like using a Battle Tank as a office car.

    Not for ADSL but its still a router.
    Anyway, as you've already bought the device, no point in arguing about it as you dont seem to be getting the point.
    You can use it as an Access Point with your old router and lets just leave it at that.
