According to reports reaching Hindustan Times, the Govt. is preparing to appoint Kumaran Pathmanthan alias KP to a high post in the voluntary Force .
It is learnt that KP has asked for a Brigadier Commander post higher than that of the rank of Colonel .
According to sources within the Army ,it is reported that there is stiff opposition against this appointment for KP.
KP is to be made the chief of the separate voluntary Force to be formed out of the former LTTE members who joined the Army during the war and after , sources told Lanka e news.
After KP came to SL from Kula Lumpur , Malaysia , he was held in detaintion in a super luxury house in Colombo with full security protection. It is now learnt that, purportedly in order to motivate the North ‘s Tamil population again , KP is being given a super luxury bungalow with full security detail.
It was KP who made available and supplied all the weapons and arms to the LTTE during the 30 year old war. These arms included pistol bullets , multi barrel bullets and others. It was KP who should answer for every bomb explosion during that period which claimed countless innocent lives, for, all TNT and other most lethal explosive materials including ‘C4’were supplied by him to the LTTE.
