hmmm New year In Maldives???? We r celebrating the new year on January 1st.. To tell u the truth now a days Maldivians don't celebrate the new year as much. It comes for lovers & frineds with new promises & new begginingss.... BTW I like how u guys celebrate ur SInhala New Year and Vesak Day..

lolz!! We celebrate new year in two days a year!! ha ha!! But 14thof April is special!!! It was the Sri Lankan tradition to celebrate new year in this special day but since europians invaded SL, we did tend to follow their traditions so as we are 30% europians n 70% sri lankans (ha ha ha kidding.. but true lolz!! ) we celebrate both days... but since we are 70% Sri Lankans.. we celebrate more in this special day than 1st of JAn!!
