Captain speak:
Mahela Jayawardene: "Like any other cricketers in the world, our batsmen love to play on bouncy tracks when the ball is coming on - and we've got a decent bowling attack to complement those conditions."

Stephen Fleming: "They're probably the most balanced bowling attack here. They're very unorthodox and provide massive challenges to our batters. The flip side is that the batting is probably not as strong as other teams around."

Team Information: The Sri Lankans have decided to go into this game with Dilhara Fernando and it would be Farveez Maharoof who would be missing out and Lasith Malinga is back into the side after suffering that injury. The Kiwis have decided to play Jeetan Patel in their side and Jacob Oram would be making a comeback after suffering a heel injury.

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first

    aiyoooooo

    :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Toss: Mahela Jayawardene won the toss and decided to have a bat. Both sides are at full strength with Shane Bond and Jacob Oram back for New Zealand and Lasith Malinga returning from an ankle injury. Jeetan Patel keeps his place in the side. So does an out-of-form Upul Tharanga.

Pitch Report: The 22 yard strip to be used for this game is a good one and should last the whole quota of 100 overs. The grass that was seen earlier when the group matches were played has been shaved off. There are a few rough patches but otherwise it remains smooth throughout. Michael Holding says that, if he was the captain, he would certainly win the toss and look to bat first.
OK, give 'em a beating :)
