Need to get a new NIC (old one cannot be read)

Any idea about the one day service and what I need to take with me to get it done?

Eta passe birth certificate ekai, photo kolei, diga liyum kawara 2i, old Nic aran palayan grame lagata. U form eka fill karala dei. 250i gana.

Eta passe u dena liyum kawarei okkoma aran ait palayan divisional secretariat eke nic section ekata. Un eke seal gahala okkoma karala appointment ekak dala dei.

Appointment dawasata ude 6ta wage palayan battaramulle. Ethanin file ekak dei number eka gahala. Eke document okkoma daganin.

Eta passe anik building eke 9 th floor D wing ekata gihin number eka katha karanakan idapan. Eta passe ethana 1000 gewala receipyeka aran A wing ekata gihin idapan.

2 hours walin ready wunama sms ekak enawa. Un nama katha karanawa gihin collect karaganin.

i got the same problem, my NIC is also damaged as hell .. my Date is coming 22nd June

steps

1. New NIC e-photo,
2. Original BC (6-month validity)
3. Photocopy of BC
4. If your old NIC is too damaged to read, you need a proof of your old Nic number (i gave a photocopy of my Passport)
5. Two envelopes (6"x9")

6. Go to GS and Hand over the documents, he/she will verify the docs & you have to pay 250/= to GS
7. Take the receipt (with QR code) and other documents from GS and go to AG/ DS office
8. give the document set, that gave by GS
9 they will check & give a date for one day of service (i submit last Friday and my date is 22nd)

waiting for the 22nd of this month to get a new ID, I am from Kandy,
bataramulla office will accept documents from 7.30am to 1.30PM

i think to go to Colombo early as possible on that day

If you have some more time wait ban. Labba patta polima mama hitanne. Also there is a huge waiting list. So if you not in a hurry better wait. My one is expiring this september and I might have to travel again soon

if you going to get in one day,
from the DS office, they set the appointment date (they give a receipt with the date & time)

One day servise එක කර ගන්න date එක ලැබුණා. අම්මාගේ ID එක පරණ එක පේන්නේ නැති නිසා අලුත් කර ගන්න.. අම්මා එක්ක යන්න ඕනීමද ? මට කර ගන්න බැරිද ? Seal කරපු document සෙට් එක කරන් ගිහින්
