This is just like Toyyo and Bayyo. If some one talks against what you talk, he becomes your enemy. Thats the way most Sri Lankans behave.
My argument is for any business to provide better service they need to have reasonable returns. Otherwise the industry will be stalled. Look at the railway. We always dream about a quality railway.
Telecommunications is the only service industry that's going with the world. We have Fiber, 4G and now they are trying for 5G.
If those companies doesn't make money sooner it will be another railway.
Anyway, I leave the tread as its a one-sided one.

What is their penetration in India? In Sri Lanka, Telcos cover over 99% of population and over 95% of geographic area.
What you need to take is the business model( Forget about inefficiency of the government servants). Railway business model is not sustainable. They are charging only a part of the cost. In Singapore lowers rail fare is around $2 or say 200 LKR. SO they get a service comparable Toit and in Sri Lanka 10 LKR and we fund the loss through our taxes and remain in the poor quality.
If we do not allow the investor th returns in any industry same thing will happen. Take it as a concept than try to analyse word by word.

I have not Said its correct. But to have better quality service we need to pay a similar charge. Most of the Telcos per user revenue is less than Rs 400/- per month and that's the reason they cannot survive. Take the guy who said he is using an unlimited connection for Euro22. Its 4500/LKR.

Dude you got this wrong. A government department is not a business to make profits. They are earning enough money so they pay their employees well (more than they deserve). SLT is not a freaking goverment department. There is no logic in what you say. Goverment runs with the tax money which country pays and a department like railway is mainly focusing on the lower income class and how to give them a service in someway. It's what a goverment should do. If the railway doesn't make profits that doesn't matter because the country pays for all the expenses anyway directly or indirectly.
I don't know why the hell you compare a Business and a Gov Department anyway
