Ok guys getting back on topic, it all boils down to the exact model and features.
- Fuel economy
- Driving comfort (depends on suspension), I generally find Nissan cars to have softer suspension compared to Toyota, so the ride is more comfortable.
- Acceleration (Engine power and torque)
- Handling (steering, computer aid: traction control, ABS )
- Space (leg space, cabin space and boot space)
- Extras (CD players, navigation systems, powered devices)
both Toyota and Nissan cars have these options. So wheres the difference ?
People say for sri lankan roads Toyota cars are better because of their suspension systems, but I don't know how accurate these claims are. Personally I think Nissan gives the best bang for the buck in terms of features and extras. IMO high prices of Toyota vehicles in SL are inflated due to the demand and people's perception of the brand name. As a company Nissan has a wider range of cars especially in the high end performance car segment, so personally I like it as a brand (I currently own a 2002 FB 15). But on the other hand, Toyota is well known for their reliability.
thanx for the useful thoughts.but how about the fuel consumption and spare part cost factors?
Both brands have plenty of spare parts. What are the models you are considering? Sunny and Corolla ? manufactured year ?
say if ist nissan FB 15 or super saloon...
Toyota 121 or new 110 ..
sunny -2003-2004
toyota-1999-2000
simply my budget is 1800000
if the 2003-2004 car is within that budget, go buy that.
Buying a 6/5 year old car is always better than buying a 10/9 year old car!
