    Mozilla Firefox.
    hm....
    last benchmark is unbelievable.
how come 4870x2 beats the gtx 295?where did u get those benchmarks.
    some of them are wrong.

I got my benchmarks from tomshardware and hardwarecanucks.com
these sites are the best site for reviews and benchmarks.

from where do u got the benchmarks?

why do u want to know???

 these charts are from www.techpowerup.com ... it one of the most ubiased sites on the web ....and it has the largest test bed of games among the tech sites .... so the performance summary is more accurate ... and BTW most of the reviews I have seen on other sites shows similar charts .... :dull: ...

And i agree that the GTX 295 performs better than 4870X2 in most games ... but in some games the 4870X2 come ahead of GTX 295

just to enlighten you on something ... people buy VGA cards not GPUs ... so no point arguing 5970 is a dual -gpu card .. and anyway the 5970 consumes less power. runs cooler... and performs better than a GTX480 ...

nVdias GTX 480 is a failure .... ... every tech forum in the web are speaking of it .... and about dual-gpu nvidia cards ... they wont be able to make one with GF100 chips ... cos the power draw is too much (300W max to meet PCI-e standard) ...

they either will have to drop the shader count and also drop the clock speeds of the GTX470 and make a dual-gpu card or will have 2 higher clocked GTS450 on one board... ... therefore the dual-gpu fermi will perform similar to 5970 or slightly better and consume much more power... and BTW a higher clocked 5970 (4GB) is on the making (by ASUS, Sapphire, XFX)... http://news.softpedia.com/news/ROG-Ares-HD-5970-From-ASUS-Has-4GB-GDDR5-135935.shtml
so its hard to say whether ATI could be dethroned in performance.

I'm no fanboy ... i have owned both cards (currently have a 7600GT & HD4850) ... but everyone gotta accept that ATi wins this round and FERMI just dont cut it when considering price/performance/heat/noise/overclocking ... you cant expect a 95C running card to last a long time ... (and definitely not in countries like sri lanka where the ambient temps are soo high ... you'll definitely fry the card one day  )

may be when the 28nm silicon manufacturing process is ready they can do a die shrink next year and win the next round ... :nerd: ... but u gotta accept its been ATi all da way sine 2009 ...

And remember this sort of competition is very important so that we the consumers can enjoy great performance at a good price ...

4870x2 beats the gtx 295 in ati based games.
some games are excellent performance in ati architecture.
of course 5970 is better than gtx 480.cause 5970 it's a dual gpu card.
gtx 480 is a single gpu card.as a single gpu cards gtx 480 roxxx.cause 5970 defeat gtx480 by 20 or 30 frames per second only.

    card temp doesn't matter.
cause there are capable to run there cards in maxx temp.

there will be dx 11 dual gpu cards in may-june 2010.when they arrive they will defeat 5970 for sure.

gtx 480 can run in 500w psu if u have the compatible amps and rails.
gtx 295 require 680w.but u can run on a good 450w psu with compatible amps and rails.

    also a there r no cuda,phys x or 3d vision on ati.
when u run a game with ati card game take more cpu usage.but same game run with same system with nvidia card all the cpu load tranfer the load to the gpu thanks to phys x.

gtx 480 is the fastest single vga card on the planet.
last year also world's fastest dx10 single and dual gpu vga cards there make by the nvidia.(gtx 285 and gtx 295)
this year also the same with dx 11 cards.
now they have world fastest single gpu dx 11 card.soon they will release world fastest dual gpu dx 11 card.

photo shop roxxxx thanks to adobe.

do ati have cuda, phsy x or 3d vision????

ati cards shader clock and core clock are same frequency.
but nvidia got more shader clock than core clock.
games needs shaders and bit rate.

    ati stream processors are useless.
cause 4870x2 have 1600 stream processors and it's got ddr5 250 bit per gpu.(750 mhz core clock and shader clock per gpu.)

but nvidia only got 480 stream processors and ddr 3 480 bit per gpu only(576 core clock and 1242 shader clock per gpu)

but nvidia gtx 295 defeat 4870x2 with no problem.

    Metro 2033
    S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

saw stalker in dx 11 ,not much difference.
I played both stalker games.but there were some major differences in DX 9 and DX 10

still no 3d vision in ati. nvidia cards run hot cause graphic card transfer cpu load to gpu by phys x and protect the processor.that's why ati run cooler than nvidia.ati don't do that. nvidia cards are capable to run maxx temp with out trouble like the amd processors.

ya but the price? its dam expensive in US AMD stuff is cheeper but for intel some time u get a rebate .. but for it u have to wait some time until the check comes and all.

but do u think intel will drop da price?

ATI don't care a dam about the new 480 :(:(
I thought the 5870's price will drop a bit! :frown::frown:

SOB nVidia, can't give a little competition!! :growl::growl::growl:

true.nvidia can't give a little competition cause they don't a competition.they all ready proof they are the best.
they made fastest single gpu card on the planet.they will release fastest dual gpu card in the planet in may-july 2010.
