the thing is intel they cant reduce the price coz there reserch stuff they even work for th GM hybrid cars annd stuff ther loss is high @ the end + there working employers are higher..they sponer nascar racing and stuff..

Ati they have less working team they forcus on there development on there product nly.. so @ the end they come with a gud product for a less price..

still no 3d vision in ati. nvidia cards run hot cause graphic card transfer cpu load to gpu by phys x and protect the processor.that's why ati run cooler than nvidia.ati don't do that. nvidia cards are capable to run maxx temp with out trouble like the amd processors.

ATi = Eyefinity as for Nvidia = 3D surround..new ATi cards would have the support of 3D vision via software updates..(Thats what I've read)..

Not true..Physx(NVIDIA Physx) has nothing do with CPU its just a platform to run some optimised games which use physx on GPU rather than CPU they ported it with software... ATi is right around the corner with their solution..

Nvida indeed failed this time I admit that...but not an Epic fail...they took the crown of fastest single GPU solution..but paying the price with high TDP and High Temps

check game in same perfomance nvdia and ati cards and run the game with maxxa details and check the cpu usage your self.

I tested by my self.

when a game run with ati card cpu usage usually goes to 60-70 in core 2 duo 2.6GHz 4gb ram pc.

same pc same game with nvidia card cpu usage usually run 40-55.

Dude its about time you stopped arguing about these stuff and start to do your studies cos if u fail in that , u will be just another blip in Nvidia's fanboy pages!

BTW since you are a commerce student ,I guess u r not that good in economics cos if u knew the demand and supply principle, u should understand that products with the so called best performance only does not make a major impact on any market. Only ones with competitive prices, features and relative performance survive in the market. By looking at this latest Nvidia 4xx series , they are still behind ATi in that sense. They have just created a temporary winner for the time being while their delay to produce this one also has brought Ati many profits. This delay will cause Nvidia a lot of losses unless they make a huge leap in their next GPU architecture. otherwise Nvidia will always be one step behind ATi!!

ATI Runs PhysX With Modified Drivers..( coz Nvida Own the copy rights of physx)

The best way is to Use a Nvida + ATI card if u can afford..
Nvidia card as a dedicated PPU (Physics processing unit) For Calculations and all while using the Radeon for Rendering

Small Problem, I screwed up my CPU Cooler!

I removed it and I have no thermal compound to put on it!
So at idle its oka (40C ) but at load it goes up like hell and it kinda gives me a hear attack!

haha ... this thread is awesome ... i found an nVidia fanboy here ... ... hope nVidia pays him well ... cos he'll needs a good A/C and a water cooling solution to run the so called fastest (7 months late ) GPU on earth to cool his card (which beats a 7 month old 5870 by 10% ) ... so it'll last a bit longer and also help to increase the monthly electricity bill by Rs.2000/- or so... LMFAO

and this goes out to people who go near his system ... please stay away from the casing cos he's using a 500W PSU whereas nVidia recommends a 600W ... and also wear a fireman's dress and a smoke mask to be on the safer side ... ... and yeah it will match your $200 3d vision kit ... ...

and BTW did i mention Global Warming ... ... and enjoy the video below ...
