nvidia recommended, since some games blocks anti-analysing in ati cards + ati cards create heat + its AMD. I got EAH 3850 ATI card. so with experiance Take My Advice. Gofor GTX 4X series if you have money:D

Yes both are good. However its depend on your budget. ATI is cheap and less technology. Nvidia is expensive but have good technology(Physx). So if you are low on budget go for ATI otherwise Nvidia

Only one question. Mongaldha? :P:P:P:P:P :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    To the tread starter :
U shud not ask the best between brand names or the ram size. only the GPU and the RAM "type" will matter. Both have equally performing cards and from your budget if you can get a Nvidia 9600GT or an ATi HD3870 or HD 4850. I think it will be hard to find these cos its a bit old now. Also if you want to get an idea about GPU performance look at this chart.

Dude it must be something wrong with your card cos I have a HD3870 and a HD5770 and havent had any issues with heat or this blocking crap. BTW AMD simply bought ATi , so it doesn't mean it should overheat!:lol::lol::lol:
