Only 39.4% voted at WPC polls

In the wake of the government crowing over a resounding election victory, the UNP said that only 39.4 percent of voters had exercised their franchise at the Western Provincial Council Election while the remaining 60.6 percent of voters had voted either for the opposition or refrained from casting their ballots.
