ose Maria back on the European Tour

Jose Maria Olazabal was back on the European golf club sets Tour today for the first time since last October - but just for one day. Bedevilled by problems with rheumatism, the double Masters champion ishiner TaylorMade R9 Super Tri Driver has decided he is fit enough only for the pro-am on the eve of the circuit's visit to Majorca. Olazabal, wanted by Colin Montgomerie as one of his assistants in October's Ryder Cup and favourite to succeed the Scot as captain, TaylorMade R7 CGB Max Rescue originally entered for the Iberdrola Open Cala Millor Mallorca at the Pula course he designed. It was also where he had the last of his 23 Tour victories five years ago, but after returning to the Ryder Cup side the following TaylorMade R9 460 Driver season the Spanish star has suffered the return of the condition that he has been battling on and off since 1995. Last month he missed TaylorMade R7 CGB Max Fairway Wood The Masters and after practising at home in San Sebastian he has now delayed his tournament comeback still further. His manager Sergio Gomez said two weeks ago that he had "no idea" when the 44-year-old Olazabal would be playing tournament golf again.
