They gave Pilots as I know. SL didn't have qualified ones in that time. As you may remember one jet clashed to negombo lagoon was the last test pilot which was failed to sway sudden left turn in jaffna peninsula. Then SL government asked Indian government to authorize air space for SL fighter jets. That request was denied from India side claiming jets were piloted by Pakistani pilots. Later negotiations made to authorize. This is the thing I know.

Yes this story is true. But Pakistani pilots never participated in war zones during war times. LTTE attack on "Piththala Handiya" was the retaliation for this deal over Pakistan. That attack was indented to Pakistani ambassador to Sri Lanka but timing got wrong and eneded up blasting Gotabhaya's Convoy.

Nobody cares even they died. only after the war ended these people became figures. So no point of attacking themselves. Before that Nandasena was a retired soldier who left country to live in USA in peace and harmony. Mahinda was another president like his predecessor. Nobody care if they died or lived. Like premadasa and marapana.
