A petition filed by a GCE Advanced Level student claiming that his fundamental rights have been violated by the delay in the answer script marking process, will be taken up before the Supreme Court today(1).
Meanwhile Examinations Commissioner Anura Edirisinghe informed the Attorney General that from around 12,000 teachers some had not reported for paper marking due to threats and intimidation. He claimed only 8000 teachers had applied for paper marking as a result.
