Electric cars do NOT pollute. Coal fired power plants pollute. Don't
blame the car for the pollution that the power plant produces. Clean up
the power plants and we can all breathe a bit easier. Besides coal power
plants run at about 40 to 60% efficiency. ICE cars run at about 20%
efficiency. That means ICE cars are inherently dirtier than EVs. Not
only that but refining fossil fuel takes tremendous amount of
electricity so in effect they are using the dirtiest form of power to
produce the dirtiest fuel. AND don't forget the trillions of dollars in
subsidies that the oil and gas and coal industries get.
