Perfect sinhala font on your android

Android device වල සිංහල අකුරු වැඩ කරන්නේ නැති එක අපි හැමෝටම ලොකු ගැටළුවක් .

Root කරපු device වල නම් සිංහල දා ගන්න පුළුවන් පහල ක්‍රමයෙන් .

You can install any unicode font using first method .

100% working new method

1.Install font installer ( font installer )
2.backup all user+system+application data using titanium backup ( optional )
3. backup system using nandroid or cwm
4. restart system after backup
5. copy font file to device
( Sinhala font file )
6. open font installer
7. locate copied font and install
8. restart your device

enjoy .....

( this will render all fonts including )

Old method

1. Download ES file explorer ( ES file explorer )
2. Download Sinhala font file ( Sinhala font file )
3. Copy the font file to device
4. Install Es explorer If you haven't installed
5. Locate font file and copy it
6. Locate System/Fonts folder
7. Rename DroidSansFallback file to DroidSansFallback_backup
7. After backup original font file , paste the file you copied .
8. Reboot the device .

හරි දැන් සිංහල වැඩ කරන්න ඕනි device එකේ . එත් මේකේ පොඩි ගැටලුවකට තියෙන්නේ ඔක්කොම අකුරු හරියට පෙන්නන්නේ නැති එක . ඔක්කොම අකුරු perfectly වැඩ කරන font එකක් හොයා ගන්න එක තම මේ thread එකේ අරමුණ .

මම දීල තියෙන ෆොන්ට් එකේ original නම malithi web font මේක මට හොයලා දුන්නේ Pathum Niroshana Sumanasena ගු , ම් , යි හැර අනෙක් ඔක්කොම වගේ වැඩ කරනවා .

android system එකේ font වැඩ කරන්න නම් එක DroidSansFallback.ttf කියල rename කරන්න ඕනි .

unicode සිංහල fonts අහු වුනාම rename කරලා දාලා බලන්න . මම දුන්න එකට වඩා හොද එකක් තියෙනවා නම් හැමෝම එක්ක බෙදා ගන්න .

ඉහලින් කියලා තියෙන ඒවා අදාල වෙන්නේ දෙවන ක්‍රමයෙන් දාපු අයට විතරයි . මොකද පලවෙනි ක්‍රමය පස්සේ add කලේ thread එකට . පලවෙනි එක 100 % වැඩ . full system backup එකක් ගන්න අමතක කරන්න එපා

මොකක් හරි අව්ලක් උනොත් restore කරන්න .

මම මහා ඇන්ඩ්‍රොයිඩ් උගතෙක් නෙවි. මේ තමා සිංහල පේන එක ගැන මම දන්න දේ.

සිංහල, දෙමළ, හින්දි වගේ භාෂා අයිති වෙන්නේ indic languages ගණයට. ඒ කියන්නේ එක අකුරක් හැදෙන්නේ අකුරු දෙකකට වැඩි ගණනක් එකතු වෙලා. නිකම්ම යුනිකොඩ් ෆොන්ට් තිබුනාට පෙන්නන්න බෑ. ෆොන්ට් එක complex font rendering program එකක් මගින් render කරාට පස්සේ තමා හරියට අකුර හැදෙන්නේ.

ඇන්ඩ්‍රොයිඩ් වලට complex text rendering හැකියාව නැහැ. මොකද ඊට අදාල scripts ඇතුලත් කරලා නැති නිසා. අපි රූට් කරලා හරි වෙන ක්‍රම වලින් හරි ෆොන්ට් දැම්මාම සිංහල පේනවා. හැබැයි හරියට render නොවෙන්නේ ඔය හේතුව නිසා.

නමුත් LG, Samsung ලා Indian region එකට ගහන ෆෝන් වල හරියට සින්හල පේනවා( මං දන්න විදියට )
ඒගොල්ලො ඇන්ඩ්‍රොයිඩ් වලට ඔය complex rendering හැකියාව දීල තියනවා Skia සහ Harfbuzz කියලා open source libraries දෙකකින්. හැබැයි මේවා තියෙන්නේ Indian region එකට ගහන ෆෝන් වල විතරමයි. අනිත් ඒවායේ නෑ.

හුඟක් අය නිකං ඔය libraries දෙක දාලා රෙන්ඩරින්ග් හරිගස්සන්න හදලා තියනවා. ඒත් හරි ගිහින් නෑ.

මේ දේවල් වලින් අන්තිමට කියන්න තියෙන්නේ ඇන්ඩ්‍රොයිඩ් වලට complex text rendering හැකියාව google ලා දෙන තුරු මොන ෆොන්ට් දැම්මත් හරියටම සිංහල පෙන්නේ නෑ.
