Im following a php tutorial. They use windows 2000. I have windows 7.
Im going to install and use apache. I cant go to http://localhost, it says...

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Apache/2.0.64 (Win32) Server at localhost Port 80

I made a new rule in control panel and gave permission to Port 80. But its not working...
Please help me...

mcn you can install one of the following software they will install all the apache, php and mysql in the machine no need to worry about configuring much.

1.XAMPP
2.WAMP
3.EasyPHP

Or else try disabling IIS on windows and restart the services again that will allow everything if need anything just PM me k

it seems that you have put the files in a wrong folder that it supposed to be
