Special police teams have been deployed starting tomorrow to rope in errant school boy revellers known to harass members of the public and female students during the cricket ‘Big Match’ season.
Police will also keep an eye on the vehicles used by the school boys and other supporters because some of them are in unroadworthy conditions and could be dangerous to both the passengers and other road users, a senior official said.
The owners of such vehicles will be traced and will have to face appropriate penalties, he said.
The police also called on the respective school authorities to advise the students before they enter the streets and areas close to the match venues.
