portable hdd not detected.. help guyssssssssss...

machan i have imation apollo 2.5" 320GB hard drive.

i purchased this from barclays 1yr ago,12th october 2009,they gave me 2yr warranty,dat means i stil hav da warranty..

now,this gives me this kind of not detection to pc wen i plug it in to my pc's usb port.i cannot remove the screws and plug it inside a laptop bcz it will void my warranty.tel me wt to do?this contains all of the valuble data such as my firefox profiles/passwords/scanned documents/softwares/mp3's/movies/etc....

can any1 tel me wt to do?
i hav alrdy tried these :
1.plugged the usb cable to hdd for long period of time-pc connection
2.changed another usb cable comes with another portable hdd
3.checked plugging into front/back side of the pc's-i've tried laptops,desktops

and i never dropped it.dont know y dis happnd suddenly.but i can feel it rotating inside.the hdd,dat means,hdd power is on ne.

can any1 tel me wt to do?coz wen i brought it to claim the warranty,the data will not be there ne.those guys dnt know the value of my things.pls any1?????

I had similler prob. in my case.. it was asking format the external HDD...what I did was , I boot with safe mode and run the checkdisk for the external HDD using cmd prompt..It worked then..

ya machan.i hav alrdy tried dat.the thing is this damn thing not detected by my pc.even to safe mode or linux.so how can i use chkdisk utility even if its not in the list?i think the hardware problem is there.but cannot remove the cover coz it wil void my warranty.so wt to do?i have to say gud bye to all f dose.shit.i stil wonder how dis happnd..
i neva dropped it and still its with the case they have provided.i hav never removed the hdd from.is made in sponges or smtin-cushion or smtin.damn
