Adelaide or Mel all are same bung.. I mean the rules.

But Price is little bit low in Adelaide. Like I pay around 24,000 for the whole MSc. (1.5 years)

UniSA is one of the best as well machang.... And most of all.. I like Adelaide better than Melbourne coz everything is nearby... Not too many silly Indians... Cheap.
(I live 10 mins away from the city, 100 bucks per week )


Disadvantage is the limited amount of jobs... Very hard to find a casual job. (cash in hand) But there are professional jobs though.

It's easy to get the PR in here machang. Not like in UK.

The requirement is that you have to study minimum 2 years full time.

then they calculate points by you education, IELTS score, job potential and stuff. So if you could get 120 marks + fulfil 2 yrs study requirement then that's it.

If you have a degree then you can do an MSc. and having an MSc doesn't necessarily mean that you can do the PhD.

To do the PhD, you have to satisfy a board of faculty members. I mean, there's a series of interviews and the price is also bit high machang.

If you're doing a PhD, then the work limit is maximum 8 - 10 hours per week.

That's why many international students don't do the PhD in here. first they get the PR. then they can apply for scholarships. If you get through, then you will get 20,000$ per year from the government and some non taxable income, which is really cool.

Best thing is to do an MBA or a MSc for 2 years and get the PR and then do the PhD. (Apparently which I'm doing now)

Life is good here.. but the climate is not.... It goes to its extremes...

Winter 0 - -1 like.. and in Summer goes to 40 - 45C..

BTW I forgot to ask. Here in UK even its says cannot work more than 20 hrs, almost everybody is at least working like 40 hrs+.Whats the situation in Aussie?

Legally 20 hours for undergraduates and postgraduates...

But for Doctoral students it's like 8 - 10 max.
And most of the time, you will get a tutoring job at the Uni itself. So it's good money. They pay about $60 - 75 per hour.


Well illegally.... no limit But if you get caught... A free ticket to SL

yep...20 hours per week in scl time....in vacations full time.....
but im not sure hw abt post grad....

anyhow..most of students working more than that.....but if u get caught....

but u can.....up to u....
