President Mahinda Rajapaksa has congratulated the Bharathiya Janata Party Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on his resounding victory.
Presidential Spokesperson Mohan Samaranayake said that the President extended his wishes via telephone on Monday afternoon.
The Presidential Spokesperson added that President Rajapaksa had invited Narendra Modi to undertake his first state visit to Sri Lanka.
