first of all its spelled jealous.

and no point in flaming anybody for their point of view. If the Government decides to carry on with this pvt med UNI thing we should take measures to regulate and oversee the admissions properly.

secondly many of the new passed out doctors wont stay in lanka.. they will always go abroad and sri lanka will always fight a losing battle to keep qualified professional personnel in sri lanka..

im in a foreign medical faculty and many people are not planning to go to SL anyway.. they will... they will take the act 16 and do the internship and f**k off to serve white masters.. thats the unpleasant reality.. (including me)

Hehe... Malabe Private Medical College is a foreign funded company implementing under a BOI approval. frankly its under the management of a foreign institution.

All the money you pay will not remain in Sri Lanka as you said,

Even if you stay there and serve those people.it doesn't matter bcoz you used your own money for higher education. But remember you learnt 10 yrs in SL...so dont forget to contribute back..then all our spellings will go wrong to words that you people would never have imagine to listen of.

eeta passe 8th year indala 11th year OL wenakan 4 teachers abt 4000 rs per month.. A/L 2 paarak kalaaa... eakedi tution walata dunna salli gaana ganan kalae wath na... classic example of our free education...

This is not the first time starting a private medical faculty in Sri Lanka

Earlier on 1983/1984, the first PMC was started as North Colombo Medical College. There were some students without having 4 A/L passes. If the same thing happen this time, who will be responsible for the innocent patients' lives.

Medicine is not just another degree. Eventually you end up with clinical environment gathering with innocent lives of people. So the person who deals with them should be capable of.

You know what happend to NCMC (North Colombo Medicl College), it was absorbed to the government and now it's affliated with the Uni of Kelaniya. Last year, recruited the 20th batch and this time it'll be the 21st batch. At that time the government didn't have any other option due to the resistance of Medical Students and whole the society was against it.

Sadly 9+ BRILLIANT Medical students killed at the end. This time also we don't like to loose even a single valuable life of any of our brother/sister. That's it.

it's oky to have a engineering degree or a MSC by a forign universiaty.

Look at me , I failed to enter to the MPR @UoM then I'm doing BIT , anyway
I still continuing the drams to be an engineer. But for a doctor the story is
different. Because they playing with the human lives.


No forign uni student doctors should not give doctor jobs in sri lanka. This is not
good.

In the field of medicine there is a difference. See how much difficult to get a medical degree inside sri lanka ? It's harder than any other degree . So I think this is not good . Doctors should have that skill level before they playing the human body.

I'm completely disagree with you. what you are pointing out is not a issue, if you look at some of the developed countries like UK and USA they have a completely different system. They have so many universities unlikely our country. so many universities means less competitiveness, but that doesn't mean they aren't smart enough to be engineers, doctors etc. It's simply just the opportunity you have. If you look at our country it has only few universities, and again few universities means more competitiveness. And one more thing I saw in one of your comments is that despising the average results students. It's not an issue at all because kind of standard they have matches with that of a student from UK or US. Actually speaking if you compare a doctor from US and a doctor from our country you see the difference and the standard , so i think it's better not to go there and drop the topic...

Overall i think this is a very good idea to have privet universities, and should build more universities like this so we can save our money in side our country..
