Could be few things!

If you already have a onboard video port, try plugging in there then you can know whether its a VGA problem or Monitor related problem!!

If your Monitor stays the same even after you plugged into the onboard VGA, then Its either monitor problem, or most probably a monitor's data cable problem!! Which most probably is your case!

Machang oka cable eke scene ekak! oya onboard ekata gahanna galawaddi cable eka ayith twist wenna athi!!! The cables inside are very tiny and sensitive if you twist them too much.. then.. bye bye thamai!!

I had the same problem! I have an old DELL monitor @ my house completely blue color... DATA CABLE problem!! if twist I twist the cable sometimes will become normal!!

hmm.. is it? Too bad then, I only got 1 year! for mine!

LOL....Here we get 3 year warranty for almost everything...CPU, RAM, Mobo, Monitor...but only 1 year for VGA. (EPSI gives exceptional warranty coverages...dexter's new case got 3 years.. for crying out loud!)

DAMN!! that's bad!! We only get 1 year for most of the things... RAM and other related things are lifetime though, but by Manufacturer not the reseller!!!
