Are you using a thermal compound between the CPU and the Heatsink?

If this overheating happened momentarily after removing the heatsink (for cleaning maybe..u know), you might need to clean up the underneath of the heatsink and the CPU heatspreader (ideally with high density ethyl alcohol) with a lint-free cloth, and apply a fresh layer of thermal compound. The cheap white paste you find here is better than not having any.

yep i did...

No good compounds in Sri Lanka :(
I want one too. A good one is around $10. That is also a small tube.

U have to go with that "kirimati" paste people sell here :oo:

try it in some electronic component shop like Senith, I bought a compund bin for about 50 rupees, but these are not designed to use on processors they are usually for Amplifiers and stuff, but it works. I don't know if you can buy compound only usually it comes with heatsink.
