henderson said:that is krimati one, i also bought it, but my processor runs about 45-60 range. When i was using original compound it used to run 35-50 range.
I meant, the ones designed for this particular purpose. What we are using is something that is designed for ICs as far as I know :Slakmal said:no no i bought 1 from raytex which situated in galle..thats wat am using..but it sucksss....temp is 95-101 C

Really? Then there is a serious issue!lakmal said:+
yep u check n c bro....

Maybe there heatsink and/or the CPU is bad. I mean, Intel is known to make concave heatspreaders on the CPU and not mirror flat heatsink surfaces and maybe there isn't enough contact to transfer the heat properly onto the heatsink from the CPU :S
Well, can you take it off and see if it is perfectly flat? If you can, do the same for CPU. Maybe this is not your fault in the first placelakmal said:u telling me to change ma cooling fan ?huh ??

I wouldn't feel like using the PC if it really heats up like thatlakmal said:okay bro ill try later .. coz am usn ma PC now..anyhow tx a lot 4 ur help...

psyche said:ane ban 100 C and over yanawa kiyanne boiling point reach wela....obviously it should damage the surrounding components as well. Have you tried placing your fingers close to the CPU when its around 100C?? Not saying to touch the damn thing....... Just placing your fingers to get the hotness in the surroundings close to the cpu.... If its not that hot then its not the CPU..... working at a temp. of 100 C should definitely burn the cpu and the components around the CPU..... on the other hand you shouldn't be able to work on the machine either.... It should not get ON in the 1st place or should get stuck after a few (5-10) seconds.....
So what i'm guessing is surely the problem should be in the damn SENSORS.....they must have got screwed up....if this was there since the beginning then i'm quite certain its factory fault or may be a damage to the sensors.... otherwise working at a temp over 100 Celcius is just absurd......

so may be the sensors have got faulty after a few times of usage....who knows.... on the other hand if you have warrenty take it to the shop where you bought it...coz working even under a temp of 100 C is just unbelievable..
Some have it at 85C by the way.henderson said:max tempreatures for core 2 intel processors are vary from 61-75
(see http://www.intel.com/cd/channel/reseller/asmo-na/eng/299986.htm)
so I think Psyche is correct. its sensor faliure
