i have installed ubuntu latest on my pc and i dont knw how to install my modem prolink H9601 it has linux drivers but not ubuntu can u help me....

hai guys,
i have installed fc9 gnome and xfce. and have installed every mulitmedia plugins. and i cant still play .rmvb vids. even i have installed realplayer for linux. it just open and closedown in seconds.

please help me.

but this problem only occers wen i installed my vga drivers(Nvidia new).

edit you xorg.conf file. But do backup your original file before you do any changes to the file since if you make some mistakes in editing ,X may not start.

Make sure you monitor supports 1024x768. (in case you monitor is somewhat old one.)

Do you have any guide to install postfix & canfigure a mail server to linux......ubuntu or fedora.....

This site has an excellent howto for Debian (it can be applied to ubuntu as well) :

i hav a 32gb hard n thers abt 10gb free (in all the partions)
256 ram,4mb VGA
will it work well in me????

evn if i instal it itz kinda hard since i was usin Windows
(i hav a 5.10 cd n tried it wit da liv CD.i oderd da 8.04 n waitn it 2 cum-cnt DL,not ADSL )

You can get all the linux CDs you want from the Linux center at Nugegoda. THey'll help ypu install and configure it as well.
I beleive they have some sort of workshops as well to get training on Linux (Not too sure on that though)

hey where is that linux center hv to go there ....
i think kodi can setup ubuntu in his machine.....
if u can manage windows in ur machine u can definitely use Ubuntu
