If you are planning to do repair and replace the battery, it is better to go for a new one.
Nowadays UPS are relatively cheap.

Doesn't matter, your biggest e-waste would be the lead-acid battery that you are going to throw it away anyway.

what you mean by repair and replace battery? ur battery is faulty and the circuit is faulty too?

if so, throw it out and get a new one.
if only battery is damaged, get a new battery and replace ur self. simple mechanics. (1250-1500) in fort. just any brand is fine. they wont last long anyway

I advice you not to do that unless you have good knowledge of electronics.
Even though UPS not working or battery is low, it might give you a hell of shock if you mess things up.
Please take it to a electronic repair shop, they will check the battery voltages and tell you what to do.
