PC graphics are the best in the world, We most srilankans think that ps and xbox game consoles are better bt that's not true, ppl in other countries buy them as a budget gaming option (somtimes coz they cant afford a gaming pc)

What do you think about the New Vga cards? some costs 2*, 3* 4* or even 5*(if a good ws card)than a gaming console and that is just the VGA card

You can never compare a gaming console like xbox, ps3 or even wii , with a high end gaming rig

no macho not in any kind of PC

Even a machine with 2.8 pentium D, 1 GB~2 Gb Ram, Very good Vga card 8800GTS or better can easily defeat a ps3 , xbox , wii (I think x1950xt is also ok)

You may also need a good monitor

Ask frm others too ., you get the same A

The only things good about consoles are that they are optimized for games (or games are optimized for them ) and they don't do anything else while gaming. Every game designed for PS3 or any other console will work 100% well. No frame stuttering or such. It's also easier to develop games for them because it's a fixed hardware set, unlike the zillions of PC configurations out there. Remember, you need original DVDs (or Bluray) to work in the consoles. Not sure if people have hacked PS3 yet, but would you take the risk of screwing up a $500 console?

Also, you have to play games on a TV, which I don't really like (unless you have a hefty 1080p LCD TV)

But, remember one thing. Halo 3 is THE best game out at the moment (as per websites and user claims - not my wording ), and it is only available for XBOX360 - not for PC, not for any other console. This is one game that justifies purchasing a XBOX360
