BTW, from what I read yesterday, 3870X2 is pwned by even the 8800Ultra (sometimes). 9800GX2 is way ahead. GX2 is most of the times faster than the Tri-Crossfire. Maybe driver issues, but stil....

Time to stop looking at synthetic benchmarks.

Yes 3870X2 is owned by the Ultra in lower resolutions.......In hight resolutions 80% the 3870X2 will own the 8800Ultra...Half life 2 and all the 3870X2 beats the 9800GX2 ........

Yeah I think so too, could very much be driver issues! As for now different people have different opinions about the 2 cards!

I still think 9800x2 should have the edge when the dust settles!!

Yeah! there's no real point of going low res. with these anyway! I even saw 9600GT SLI comes close 3870x2 performance @ those res!

Well...the 8800GT is anyway faster than 3870. So, 9800GX2, which two faster 8800GT's, should be "technically" faster than 3870X2. Only drivers can change that. SLI support is higher than Crossfire support in games as well, because SLI is older. (Of course not to say if one is better than the other...just support wise SLI is better))
