Rajapakse regime ‘kudu’ business modus operandi: A police walkie talkie provided to Duminda’s kudu transporting vehicle
(Lanka-e-News -24.Oct.2011, 1.30AM) Lanka e news has received information which confirms what massive amount of support had been extended by the Rajapakse regime to the kudu (drugs) business of Duminda Silva after appointing him as a monitoring M P of the defense Ministry .
A walkie talkie has been provided to the vehicle of Duminda Silva which transports drugs. This walkie talkie belongs to security center of the office of Colombo DIG Anura Senanayake , and had been given to Duminda ‘s drug transporting vehicle by Sarath , a cop residing at Ganemulla attached to the private office of DIG Senanayake. This is to facilitate the smooth movement of Duminda’s kudu transporting vehicle in order to avert sudden emergency raids conducted by the police security contingent.
This walkie talkie has by now ceased functioning , according to the police internet reports.
This policeman Sarath has been provided with a motor bike No. WPMS 6558 belonging to the emergency contact unit of the police and the fuel for this bike is supplied by the Police Dept. Yet this bike is not used by Sarath for official police emergency service duties. He uses it for the kudu business operations of Duminda , it is learnt.
Although all this information and more have been reported to DIG Anura Senanayake and IGP Ilangakoon, they are completely crippled in the performance of their duties because of the inordinate patronage and protection extended to kudu Duminda and his kudu business by the Rajapakse regime. It is a matter for deep regret that in this country owing to this power wielded by kudu Mudalalis , both these high ranking police officers ,the IGP and the DIG are like beaten and bullied dogs crawling on the ground with their tails thrust between their legs, not knowing what to do.
