I played with the OpenClaw for a couple of hours, and I am actually happy with the results. I have some hardware to run some reasonable models locally, and I was using self-hosted Qwen 3, 30B model.
I am happy with the results and the intelligence given the model size. Soon I will be getting a new AI machine with 128GB and will try to post results in EK (if I get some free time to do that).

As an unrelated topic, I was running Qwen 3 Coder 30B locally for some time, and used Open Code as the agent, and I am honestly impressed with the results. (Not good as Claude code but still good given the model size).

Also, I tried to build a small proxy API, that uses a different models to classify each prompt and then redirect to the most suitable cost effective model available so I can save some credit/tokens, if the prompt is simple enough then use the local model and use premium Claude models for complex queries.
