Our sincere gratitude for the organizers for thinking about the next major challenge after defeating the terrorism. Could you intervene forming a database to collect data about many innovations brought about by clever Sri Lankans. This will help to merge inventors with patriotic entrepreneurs or the relevant government organizations.

After liberating Wanni which should happen in the near future, all the Sri Lankans should get together leaving aside politics and develop our motherland. Chinthanaya is good only in eradicating LTTE but not at all in developing our country since almost all the Ministers are only developing themselves. We have no experience with the JVP whether they are capable of doing what they preach and their past is also terrible. The only alternative is UNP which is the best out of the bad lot to develop our country. Whoever comes, it is our duty to get together - JVP, PA, UNP, SLMC, ... and also all Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims, Burghers, Moors et al and think of our country first and change. Yes we can. We should do this irrespective of our religion, race, colour, creed, or political belief. Since we have all the natural resources, it is possible if there is a good leader like Premadasa. I suppose his son is the ideal person to lead.

Anton, how can you say that UNP is the best out of the bad lot? We havr had enough bad experience with them, especially with Ranil as their leader. Premadasa also had his share of bad qualities, especially his dictatorial attitude because of inferior complex against educated professionals! We need a DRASTIC CHANGE to our political system.

I fully agree with Anton. If you analyze the ethnic problem objectively you can see that it is basically an economic problem. Therefore if we are to ensure that terrorism should not raise its head again, development of the entire country is the only answer. Then the cake will be big enough for everyone. But to have equitable development it is first necessary to have law and order in the country and the work ethics of the population has to change. How are we going to do that? I am sure our politicians can't and won't. Any ideas?
