Hair trimer, Flash Lights ( non mobile phones) & in general such rechargeable items,

Does charging frequency affect to battery life?
Is it ok to charge again & again as soon as you feel out of power or should Waite till fully battery drain?

if li-ion batteries:
do not wait till fully drain. charge whenever possible. maximum battery life expected if you charge it before drain to 40% and stop at 90%

ni-mh/ni-cd batteries:
charge whenever possible but intermittent full drain to zero and recharge to 100%
