I'm looking to bring an experienced thumbnail designer to join my team. This is a long-term position with consistent work (1-2 videos per week). Rate per thumbnail ranges from $10 to $25 (can even go higher depending on the quality of the work and prior experience). YouTube Video-Essayist / Documentary Style Writers [Long term Position]

Hi - we're currently speaking with a few applicants from this sub but wanted to repost with some updated information as there are multiple positions open

I run a YouTube channel in the personal finance, investing, economics, and business niche and we’re looking for a long-term freelance video-essayist / Documentary Style writer to join our team.

Ideally, you should be able to:

• Comfortably write in English (the script should be casual, conversational and entertaining)
• Have experience writing video essays / documentary-style videos (please share prior work)
• Explain concepts in a digestible and entertaining way
• Be able to research information deeply and pay close attention to detail
• Creatively string an entertaining story together based on the topic provided

This is a LONG TERM position. We’re looking for 1-2 video essays per week with ~2500 words per script. We’re looking to pay $250 to $450 per video essay depending on experience level and work quality. As our channel and business grow, we’re more than happy to increase the rate and even offer other business opportunities.

Job Description: In search of a professional and experienced video editor to handle the full video creation process, producing high quality YouTube content/videos. Primarily assisting in video editing process, with other opportunities to assist in pre-production and production as well. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong eye for a cohesive story, visually compelling editing, and a strong understanding of the YouTube space. You will be proactive in communicating progress, working closely with the production team to produce engaging and compelling content. The ideal candidate must adapt quickly, manage your time effectively, and react quickly to changing requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pre-production tasks (such as file prep and rough cutting)
• Understand editing processes to work efficiently and swiftly on projects
• consistently deliver on weekly agreed upon deadlines
• Schedule and attend weekly meetings with our team
• Organized and committed to high quality without the need for lots of revisions
• Understand how to keep viewers engaged with good pacing, transitions etc.

Requirements:

• Advanced video editing skills using popular software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
• Adobe Creative Suite mastery required
• Advanced knowledge of Discord
• Must have exceptional attention to detail
• Be open to learning new processes and techniques
• Willing to work at odd times of the day, as needed
