Message: <blockquote data-quote="Dead Island" data-source="post: 12416097" data-attributes="member: 396558">both "Sakviti King" and Buddha has "Maha Purusha Laksha" not just Buddha. and it doesn't mean anything at all. it simply says if the person who's reached the Buddha hood is a male "Maha Purusha Laksha" is inevitable. it doesn't imply there isn't a female version of Buddha. there could be but so far there wasn't a single female Buddha according to old scriptures. some says there have been so far only 28 Buddhas but it's wrong it's just what the last Buddha has mentioned before that there could be hundreds or thousands I am sure at least one of them could be a Female. as I know non of Buddhist scriptures say female can't reach the Buddha hood. of course so females can it's just matter of social discrimination. people concern females are as second class citizens so in that situation normally the previous life of Buddha decides to select the Male life cause it's much better to admit the Dharma to the society. but one day when the female has a better place in the society there might be a Female Buddha.</blockquote>
