The Manual gearbox will definitely die with Electric/Hybrids cars taking over petrol/diesel engines. Electric cars dont need a conventional gearbox at all.


I used to think that a manual gearbox is the best thing in the world, but the automatics (CVT/DCT/Even normal torque converter automatics) are so advanced these days. They are faster as well as more economical that manual gearboxes. Makes so much sense for daily driving.

But the engagement/involvement in a 'manual' cannot be matched, so much fun on the open road or on a race track.

i like nin manual vehicle as i dont have gear to break
