Risks with Runing a computer for 24/7 non stop

yeah i know.... thats why i asked the price of a P3

hehe you know want to buy one of those and run it for ever! so then i don't have to take a higher risk with my lap... whats the price of a P3??? anybody????

Well, I don't think he's asking about the OS's stability. Rather the hardware stability. Hibernating turns off the all the hardware, which is equivalent to turning off the PC.
