Risks with Runing a computer for 24/7 non stop

i have a toshiba m45 here.. its adapter is very good when compared with my brother's one... it does not get heated that much... its been 2 years i guess... so yeah got to be mindful about that :)

There is no risk AFAIK.

Still, we can't account for your good/bad luck, and that's in fact the most prominent variable of all.

yeah i know.... thats why i asked the price of a P3 ;) hehe you know want to buy one of those and run it for ever! so then i don't have to take a higher risk with my lap... whats the price of a P3??? anybody????

Well, I don't think he's asking about the OS's stability. Rather the hardware stability. Hibernating turns off the all the hardware, which is equivalent to turning off the PC.
