I was coming from galle to colombo today through the high way.
Just after exiting the high way from Makumbura, I found a white continuous line in the middle of the road. As I felt that this was unusually long, I just measured the length. I was 2 kilo meters.
It starts at Makumbura and continues through Kottawa city and ends almost at Pannipitiya.

    LOL

I know that some countries, plot the number of accidents in a map (they use a Geographical Information System to identify areas which are highly vulnerable for accidents) and modify road traffic signs. But in Sri Lanka, I have seen single or white continuous white line in the middle of the road, where road visibility is perfect.

    OMG.
How did you get through your test.
Was it much hurting, the way I said it.
    Sorry.
Brother, Single line can be crossed only to turn right.
Double line, you cant cross, even to turn right.

    Correct me if I'm wrong
    Thanks

Now, I'm a bit happy to see some new traffic line.
One side single unbroken line, plus a broken line parallel to it.
I saw it more in southern province.
That means, to one direction, you can overtake, crossing the lines (i.e. road visibility is good)
When you are traveling the other direction, you cant

    A good improvement.
Previously we had only double line, in such occasions, which are illogical
as when you are going in one direction, the visibility is perfect.
    (the other direction, no visibility)

By the way, when you get caught by the cops, I like to pay the fine to the government, than bribing cops. I know many of my friends too have that idea. (I have never bribed)
These are the ideas i got through my friends
But, when you get caught in a distant area, then they get your license into their custody. Then on the next day, you have travel all the way back to get the license, if you are following the proper procedure. That's why they say, they have to tip a cop, even they don't like that.
In other countries, they don't take your license into their custody. They issue you a ticket, so that you can pay from any bank.
In that way, people get promoted to follow the proper procedure.
I assume, by the current method, government is losing many millions of income per month through motor traffic offenses

    LOL

This business about 4 papers have become a popular secret I guess.
This was the other topic i was discussing. (bribery)
Everybody knows the examiners of this test are at a very higher place
    in the list.

    Cheers
