Sakvithi evaporates with five billion rupees in Sri Lanka

Sept 22, Colombo: Sakvithi Ranasinghe, the famous tuition master and much talked of creditor who provided lavish interest to investors through his unregistered finance company, has reportedly evaporated with around Rs. 5 billion invested by thousands of Sri Lankans seeking quick bucks.
The tuition master ran a massive advertising campaign in popular media and had headquarters in Nugegoda which have now been closed.
Mirihana police are conducting an investigation aiming to arrest him and believe that the suspect has left the country with his family.
Ranasinghe, who appeared under a false identity, is one of the racketeers who run illegal financial companies providing unbelievable profits to investors in the current context of inflation in Sri Lanka.
