The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has sought the assistance of the International Police (INTERPOL) to gather information on foreign bank accounts of Danuna Tilakaratne, the son-in-law of General Sarath Fonseka, Police Media Spokesperson P Jayakody told Daily Mirror online.
The CID has already gathered information regarding Tilakaratne accounts in Sri Lanka and according to the Media Spokesperson Jayakody the CID is collecting more information on Tilakaratne’s international financial dealings by collecting data on his foreign bank accounts.
Tilakaratne is being probed on an illegal arms deal which is said to have taken place during the tenure of General Sarath Fonseka as Army Commander.
